HAPPINESS - PART 3 OF 4

So how has fitness played such an integral part to my happiness? Let me share my story with you…

Since childhood I’ve always been in and amongst sports thanks to my older siblings. I looked up to them and saw through their sporting achievements the motivation for me to play in team sports, aspire to reach their potential and also join in on the fun they were having. Whatever form of physical exercise I did, whether it was playing soccer, basketball or track and field, I generally felt happier and less worried.

In addition to the increased energy, I also felt a sense of accomplishment in meeting my personal fitness goals. I also felt proud of my improved physical appearance that those hours of pain and torture produced. And getting outdoors on a nice day stimulated my mind.

Being physically active also took my mind off daily problems and unnecessary thoughts. I become more relaxed and felt I could unwind better which put me in a more positive frame of mind. My concentration and retention improved which helped my performance at work, my fitness training as well as and my motivation to get things done.

All these experiences and positive outcomes influenced my decision to get my PT qualifications so I could inspire and help my clients & others become healthier, fitter and achieve their goals. This also motivated me to complete my Life Coaching studies to help people who want positive change and improvement in their lives.
